Reviewed on 10th July 2023

Martin has been the live in carer looking after my uncle for 2.5 years until he passed away in April 2023. I cannot fault the care Martin provided my uncle. He encouraged him to keep as much independence as possible, with walking and personal care but was always there to provide support as required. Martin was more than a carer, he managed the home and became my uncle's best friend, enriching his life during his last few years. Martin always kept me informed of any significant changes with my uncle, if he was not well or anything I should be made aware of. After a year when my uncle's needs became more difficult with early stage dementia Martin gave me his word he would look after my uncle to the end. He kept to his word and I was extremely grateful for the peace of mind that my uncle was in safe hands and I didn’t have to worry about his care. Martin was the first and only live-in carer I interviewed. I knew from speaking to him that he was the person I wanted to look after my uncle. I am delighted to say that my initial impression was correct and Martin has proven to be a trustworthy, honest, caring, reliable man that I would not hesitate to recommend for anyone needing a live-in carer. I would be happy to talk to any potential employer if required.
